"It had been 7 years since I had been to the dentist. The hygienist came out to meet me on my first visit back and was warm and welcoming. During my dental exam she explained I had something called periodontal disease. She said that while I could never get rid of it, she had some great solutions to help me fight it and then once the disease was under control, some solutions on how to manage it. I have never been to an office where the staff seemed genuinely interested in helping me with my dental problems and also helped me to see that I have a great smile…worth keeping! In February 2003 I was having trouble with my failing upper teeth at the early age of 69! Since I was living in California I decided to see a dentist in my hometown. The dentist said that my upper teeth were not worth saving and we made the decision to replace them with a denture for my upper jaw. The denture did not fit my mouth correctly and I went back to the dentist on several occasions for help. He made several adjustments but nothing he did would make the denture fit or look better. I was never happy with the denture. Because of my displeasure with my denture I simply did not wear it. As time passed, I gave up many of the foods that I had previously loved to eat and became displeased with my appearance.

I was very unhappy knowing that I did not have my upper teeth. My inability to chew food became more unacceptable with each passing day. At this point, I decided to return to my dentist in Utah and talk with him about what dental options would be best for me in this situation. Dr. Losee had recently attended several continuing education seminars on implant procedures and bone grafts. He suggested upper implants would help my situation. Dr. Losee also suggested that we do a bone graft. Not wearing my denture for such an extended period of time had caused my jawbone to recede and the bone graft was necessary.

I made arrangements with Dr. Losee to begin the implant and bone graft procedures. Dr. Losee performed a bone graft and placed six implants in my upper jaw. I was surprised at how quickly I healed from the surgery! I was also surprised at the lack of pain! I had anticipated a much longer healing time and much more pain with procedures like this!

In March 2005, I received my new look-alikes! I couldn’t have been happier with the results and with my new appearance. You might say that I felt like a new man!

Dr. Losee is a true and caring dentist. I guarantee that once Dr. Losee becomes your dentist, he will also become your friend for life.

My name is Marjorie R. and I wanted to write and thank you for the great experience that you have given to my son Kyle and I. We live in Southern California and have known Dr. Losee and his family for years. My son Kyle is not fond of dentists and has had previous experiences that have made him not want to go near dentists. We have come to Dr. Losee for a few years now, and I can only get my son to come to Dr. Losee because he trusts him and always has a good sense of humor to relate to Kyle with, when it comes to treating him and taking care of his dental needs.

We flew out this week and Dr. Losee took care of both of us in such a timely fashion. I had to have a crown done and the new machine called the Cerec 3D makes it possible that I don’t have to wait 2 weeks to come back for another office visit to have my permanent crown put in (we all know how important our time is especially when you live in another state and you come to have work done.) Dr. Losee’s staff is great and they do everything to make you feel at ease while you are here for your visit.

When you have a child that is afraid to go to the dentist because they fear something, or have had a bad past experience, it makes the trip to Utah worth it and you get to see other parts of the country all in the same trip. I would recommend Dr. Losee and his staff to anyone who is or has a child that is not find of the dentist to come and have a visit with him and see what a difference it can be for you or your children.
